Courtenay B.C.’s Guenther designed a portable shower system to use at historical recreation events he attended out in the wild with the Society for Creative Anachronism. He decided he could use that system to help anyone who needed a hot shower get one, and it led him to start the Wiseland Humanitarian Association, first a non-profit, and now a registered charity.
Years later, the all volunteer association’s work – and its impact has continued to grow in the Comox Valley.
Guenther met up with People First Radio’s Joe Pugh at Mudsharks cafe in Courtenay to chat about the Wiseland Humanitarian Association.
