A little stress can be a good thing.
That was the message as the University of British Columbia’s Healthy Aging Lecture Series got underway with a talk from David Almeida, a professor at Penn State University.
Eli Puterman is largely responsible for organizing the lecture series, and he also researches stress himself. Puterman is the Canada Research Chair in Physical Activity and Health, and an associate professor in the School of Kinesiology at The University of British Columbia.
Puterman joined People First Radio for a conversation a few days after the lecture that touched on stress, mental health, exercise, and how this knowledge can be used in our daily lives.
