Located at 285 Rosehill Street in Nanaimo, Rosehill Apartments is a project funded through BC Housing’s Community Housing Fund (CHF) program and is designated as a fully independent, mixed income building for single adults.
The apartments are small bachelor units (325 sq. ft.) with a full kitchen and 3-piece bath. Each apartment has a tenant-controlled heat pump system and there is an on-demand hot water system for the building. Heat and hot water are included in the rent. There is an on-site laundry room – $1.00 per machine use. The only costs outside of rent are personal hydro and internet/TV/phone. The building is NON-SMOKING, but there is a covered smoking area outside.
The available unit is designated for full time working adults with low to moderate incomes and rent is geared toward the annual income of the tenant. Here are two examples:
– If you have a gross annual income of $25,000 you would pay $565.00 per month.
– If your gross annual income is $40,000, you would pay $940.00 per month.
Income verification is required annually, and rents are adjusted at that time. One pet is allowed with pet registration.
